Meet Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson serves as Senior Director of Racquet Works and brings 15+ years of leadership in the racquet sports industry. He leads the development of Racquet Works’ global education and resources platform for racquet sport facilities.
Johnson previously directed racquet sports at Paradise Valley Country Club and has held leadership roles at Desert Mountain Club, Camelback Village Racquet & Health Club, Seattle Tennis Club, and Old Providence Racquet Club. A former player and captain at UNC Charlotte, he also served as Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Arizona Men’s Tennis Team.
He holds certifications across tennis, pickleball, and padel, including Elite Professional with the RSPA and Adult Professional with PTR. He currently serves as Regional Vice President for the RSPA Southwest Board and Head Pickleball Coach Developer for the region. His work has earned multiple awards, including the 2024 RSPA Southwest Industry Excellence Award and the 2021 National RSPA Elevate Professional of the Year.
Johnson has presented at major national events, including the 2024 RSPA World Conference, 2024 Director’s Club Retreat, and CMAA and NCA programs. Before returning full-time to racquet sports, he practiced litigation with K&L Gates in Seattle and Hatcher Law Group in Charlotte. He is licensed in North Carolina and Washington.
